Gothenburg

Gothenburg is the second biggest city in Sweden, after the capital Stockholm, with a population of 550 000 citizens. Gothenburg is situated in the middle of the beautiful west cost. Gothenburg allows you as a visitor to do a lot of different activities. In the summer time you can go sailing, windsurfing scuba diving or just kick it at a nice café in the sun. The winter in Gothenburg can get quite chilly and than it’s perfect to visit one of all the museums around the city. At Christmas time the big theme park Liseberg is worth a visit. The whole park is than covered with millions of small lights, which gives a very romantic experience. You can travel around the city by tram or bus. It’s easy to recognize the blue Västtrafik bus.
Linnéstanden is one popular area in Gothenburg, the biggest and The Most Pouplar Park is located just in till Linnéplatsen. In the summer lots of peoples gathers in the park for a barbecue or just lying in the sun. The yearly festival way out west is highly recommended by their earlier visitors.
Linnégatan has many cosy restaurants and cafés where you can get food from all over the world.                                   
The archipelago just outside the city is an amazing place during the summer time. The archipelago is divided in the northern archipelago and the southern archipelago. The islands in the northern archipelago are a little bit bigger and you can travel there by car. The largest island is called Hönö where you can go and lie on the cliffs and take a swim in the ocean. The northern and the southern archipelago are divided by channel where the ships goes to Denmark and Germany. The island far out in the archipelago is called Vinga and it’s a common destination for tourists. Vinga is most famous for it’s lighthouse and not far form Vinga is a shipwreck located which is a popular spot for scuba diving. Two popular islands in the southern archipelago are Donsö and Strysö, which are attached to each other by a bridge, the only bridge in the southern archipelago. You can’t travel to these islands by car but it’s not a problem to go there via communal transportation. You can use the same ticket as for the bus and the tram for the boats. When you visit the southern archipelago you can feel the calm coming over you all the stress from the big city atmosphere just disappears the moment you go ashore the island.
Family fun and nightlife. If you want to feel pulse of the city life, you can spend your day and go crazy in the stores in the city centre. Later nightlife begins, all the clubs and bar opens.  Gothenburg have a rich nightlife with clubs and bars for all tastes. The Casino in the dock gives you a rush if you are into a little gambling. If you look for a activity that is more suitable for the whole family you can visit the largest theme park in Sweden, with rides for every body. It’s also a nice place to just hang around with your friends. Eat a classic Swedish waffle with whip cream and jam, play some silly game and just have a blast.
